The inspiration for today’s post is the cloud painting (pictured below) from an interior by the fabulous Todd Romano. My sister Karen (a textile designer and artist extraordinaire!), commented on the beauty of that painting and I couldn’t help but think of the Susan Ferrier designed showhouse apartment at the Laurel in New York City! Her piece de resistance was the large cloud painting (pictured above) by James McLaughlin Way from the Mason Murer Fine Art Gallery. It set the tone for her powerful yet sensuous color palette. She is a master of light and dark. Like an artists canvas, she uses shading and dappled light to create layers of depth and texture. It is with great pleasure that I share with you this artful interior!

I loved the clouds and the imagery the benches invoked!
