I recently discovered the brilliant work of London based John Minshaw, an award winning architectural and interior designer. The book “John Minshaw Designs” by John Minshaw and Celina Fox is a must have for those who love clean, classically modern, innovative interiors. All featured projects are either new build or complete renovations of existing properties. I absolutely love his juxtaposition of formal and modern! Scale, material, color and texture ~ it all comes together to create a unique look for the 21st century. What really blows me away is his skillful, editing eye. The interior pictured above is a tutorial in editing. Besides the radiator, there are only three objects in the space ~ the antique settee, a framed black and white drawing and what looks like an architectural fragment. Magically, it draws me in. There is an intimacy to this spare, minimal space. The future of interior design may very well be represented in that image above ~ quality over quantity, modern yet intimate, spare yet inviting, the coming together of old and new…how wonderful!

Just beautiful! My style, minimalism .
I absolutely love it, the kitchen is sublime as is the bathroom. What an elegant home. Thanks for putting all that together and sharing it.
