I just had to share with you another new discovery from the outdoor room post…I am head over heels for the photo above! Artful, sophisticated, clean and inviting…I couldn’t wait to research the creative mind behind this space! J. Randall Powers is the homeowner and designer who conceived this stunning Houston home…my favorite is the dining room, (seventh photo) thoughtfully furnished with a Sutcliffe dining table by Dessin Fournir and Flat Bar Brno chairs by Knoll; the art includes works by Julian Schnabel and Ford Beckman…for me, this is the definition of effortless sophistication…
“I do not follow trends and do not like to be categorized by stereotypical whims of decorating. I adore the irreverence of many different periods and find that the best rooms looks timeless when they’re layered with unique objects and peppered with sentimentality.” ~ J. Randall Powers

this is so my style as well…
as you say, Danielle, clean, sophisticated and artful….
I am drawn to the paintings as well as the transitional furnishings and decor…
the color palette is well chosen in black accents and gilded touches here and there, otherwise it’s fairly neutral….
stunning home…
