Houston’s Found for the home is one of my favorite 1st dibs stores so I was pleased to see the November issue of Elle Decor give it a mention! Located in a former mid-century industrial staple warehouse, owners Ruth Davis and Aaron Rambo sell everything from 19th century bergeres to vintage lawn sprinklers! What sets them apart is their ability to take a discarded object and turn it into something beautiful. Industrial pieces are reborn as sculpture or functional furniture. Architectural fragments may become a light fixture or an art piece. When the transformation is complete, their next step is staging the store. They are masters at the art of display. Magic happens when the rough industrial is paired with a refined antique. This juxtaposition breathes new life into each piece. On their own they are just ordinary, but together they are most definitely extraordinary!
