baptiste lignel

A few days ago, I received a wonderful comment from Baptiste Lignel, (you may remember my post featuring his stunning photographs of Feau & Cie). Today is a very special post, featuring images from one of his current projects, a book titled Ce qui demeure Vol 1, which roughly translates to What remains. It is about childhood and the memories that those images might trigger in the viewer’s mind. I thought you might enjoy reading a portion of Baptiste’s email to me describing this project, “It holds a very special place in my work and in my heart. It is, and might very well remain, my most intimate project.” I’m so thankful to have discovered Baptiste’s work through Feau & Cie and now have this special opportunity to share his art with you. Below, I’ve included a link to his book, complete with all of the images and pricing.

I’m also including a link to a limited edition print Baptiste is selling to help fund the international relief effort for the Japanese earthquake and tsunami victims. All the proceeds go to the Paris office of Doctors Without Borders (Médecins sans frontières).
